About Dr. Marcy Hanson
Marcy Hanson, PhD, MN, RN is an Assistant Professor in the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing at Montana State University. She has a Master of Nursing in Advanced Population Health from Washington State University and a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Montana. Dr. Hanson’s research focus is women’s health, with an emphasis on perinatal mental health and perinatal substance use. Within her research Dr. Hanson aims to address upstream barriers to care for medically and socially marginalized populations through honoring the expertise of those with lived experience of unequal treatment.
